Single Parent Apartment Community

Scholar House, will serve as an apartment community designed for section 8, single parents enrolled in college and on a pathway to self-sufficiency. The project will consist of an early childhood learning center, five electric rental vehicles and a solar array with battery storage.

Phase I entails developing the now vacant McMillen Apartment parcel of land into the Scholar's House, a mixed community of housing, which consists of 44 large 2-3 bedroom apartments.

The technological advantages are a 1MW solar array with battery storage; the residents will have access to an APP/Web portal on their Smartphone to manage their energy usage, access/reserve transportation, monitor their children's progress, and other resources that empower them to improve their quality of life.

At Posterity Heights the residents will have the opportunity to Live, Work, Play and Educate their children and themselves in preparation for a better life.

Posterity Heights will be the catalyst for further neighborhood investment in a census tract that is severely distressed, and it will be central to Fort Wayne's plan to alleviate blight and develop job creation with a concentration on five specific areas including Workforce Development, Healthcare, Information Technology, Finance and Advanced Manufacturing.
